College of DuPage

Nathan Verrips, COA student, completed an Honors Project titled “Fighting the Regional Shortage”. Nathan developed two surveys regarding how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the efficiency of the office flow and the specific staffing problems that arose from the pandemic. He then gave the survey to various ophthalmologists, technicians, and office managers. After collecting the data, he analyzed the results and presented them in a narrated power point presentation.

His discussion brought his project full circle and highlighted the importance of programs such as the COA/COT programs at College of DuPage.
The only solution to long-term clinic efficiency is to raise up new ophthalmic technicians. What will you do to achieve this goal?
